NIC Talks 2015 | Lindsey Conner Mosby | frog Design Inc.
In her NIC Talk at the 2015 National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) Fall Conference, Lindsey Conner Mosby, executive strategy director and healthcare practice lead for frog Design Inc., noted that 26 percent of baby boomers say their biggest fear is losing their independence, and 90 percent would rather stay at home more than anything else. The seniors housing industry has the potential to revolutionize care by offering the seniors of tomorrow opportunities to design their own care. The senior living and assisted living markets can grow by providing services to seniors in an unconventional way. Many seniors who are comfortable with new technologies are accustomed to convenience, and will expect this to play a role in their senior living. Alongside senior living, healthcare in senior housing is poised for innovation as well. Seniors desire to improve their quality of life and the senior housing industry is poised to meet these wants with innovative solutions to senior housing and assisted living infrastructure and services.

Brought to you by the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), NIC Talks are brief, insightful talks featuring well-known leaders from the seniors housing and care industry, as well as thought leaders from the aging and healthcare industries. Taking place annually at the NIC Fall Conference and in the style of Ted Talks, NIC Talks discuss innovative and disruptive ideas on how we view retirement, aging, and the housing and services we will need as we grow older. From market data and investment trends, to anti-ageism and the communities producing the most centennials in the world, NIC Talks will educate, challenge, and inspire your thinking about what it means to age. No matter from where you come in the seniors housing and care industry—investment, owner, operator, or analyst—the National Investment Center’s NIC Talks series will challenge everything you thought you knew about aging.
